sun, selfie and fiasco

Today was such a sunny day, and if you live in England you know to make the most of it. My mother and I decided to have our first BBQ of the year with some family friends. My mum took these photos in some cycle track place by where my she lives, she's not a very good photographer, I had to edit them a lot (sorry mum). We spent the whole day "sunbathing" and drinking refreshing summer fruit cider (inc the BBQ of course).

Here I am testing out the selfie stick, I literally laughed at the contraption for 5 minutes. Just fyi I am not being serious in the picture on the right haha.

On to the fiasco. There is a massive pile of weeds and bits of garden in the middle of the garden and early on in the afternoon our friends' son had bought out a magnifying glass to show us that it could light something on fire and we were amazed that it actually worked. It started a small fire but we stopped it from spreading and that was that. Later on in the day for some silly reason we lit the pile of garden again and this time it got a bit too crazy and it spread FAST! We panicked, the smoke was crazy, neighbours were yelling at us, but thankfully we managed to put it out. I thought we would've had to phone the fire brigade. Now I smell like a piece of burnt bacon.
